King of Dreamland Avenger. Oct 27, 5, Went back to play some Sonic Unleashed the other day because I still think it's a pretty great game, and I even enjoy some of the Werehog levels.

The Werehog sections are honestly pretty fun, I actually liked them better than the daytime stages.

I really enjoyed Sonic Unleashed when I played, but this medal system was so bad. It was obviously an attempt from Sonic Team to stretch the game lenght. I didn't hate the Werehog too, but the framerate was so bad for a beat'm up that hurted my experience. Also the lenght of the stages too. If Sonic Unleashed received a remastered with the medals system removed and framerate system, that would be neat-O.

In Nighttime Stages on the other hand, one Medal is obtained depending on the clearing time, one depending on the Rings collected, and one depending on the player's amassed Gaia Force points.
However, the player can only obtain three Medals per Stage. In tutorial missions, mini missions or bosses, only one Medal can be obtained per mission the boss medals are obtained by gaining S Ranks. As the player collect Sun and Moon Medals, they can unlock new doors inside the game's different Gaia Gates. Behind these doors lie puzzles that the player can complete in order to obtain different items.
