Left 4 Dead 2 doesn't just add a few new levels and features, it fiddles and increments a formula that few thought needed changing in the first place. The team have managed to infuse their sequel with the exact same kind of nuanced creative energies that usually takes them years, and in doing so they've made last year's accomplished Left 4 Dead look like a simple mod in comparison. I have at least hours into the game and have learned specific tactics for taking out the special infected while most people run aimlessly out to their death. It's a team-based game where if you stay together, the chances of survival are high. What you're really doing is making a movie and if you're one of the 4 star actors you're able to take a break and watch. I love how the game seamlessly as well as instantly adds new players or replaces them with bots without some lengthy game re-load or re-sync making everyone wait.

It was remarked that the grenade launcher sitting out in the open for anyone to grab and descimate the game solo was making the game too easy and allowing people to leave the rest 4 dead, so Valve moved them to more hidden areas so players had to search for the big guns.

Im not a big fan of zombie games The cast of characters were very developed. The game though is very gory when you are killing zombies. Fun, but not OK for young children I have played this game, and while I agree this is a highly enjoyable title, it is completely inappropriate for children under Blood and gore is so intense in parts that the entire screen is covered in splattered blood.

Also, just because this game can be played with multiple players doesn't mean it requires teamwork. There is no problem solving or working together in the game, it is entirely a bloody FPS.

Gore can be turned down, but keep in mind that any child that has used a console or PC before can just turn it on again. My daughter is 12 actually. Parents, know your child, my daughter does not cringe at blood and guts. I'm suspecting that she wants to be a doctor someday and wants to handle it now haha. By the way, I would watch out for multiplayer over wi-fi!!!!

My son and I play it all the time together. My son is 13 and I do not let him play Call Of Duty or any of those other war games. The reason I let my son play this game is because they are zombies, not humans.

I believe in video games where you kill other humans causes people to be violent and i don't think of it as very christian. With zombies I don't have a problem with it. My only concern was that it was bloody of course it was, what zombie game isn't. So I did some research, and it turns out you can turn off blood. So my son and I play it without the blood. And the rest is really not that bad. In my opinion a 13 year old boy should be able to get out his violent urge in a game where you are killing not real living things instead of killing people in a game like Call Of Duty.
