Noons comes forward and Cerrone throws a knee. Cerrone takes Noons down, but lets him up quickly afterwards.
Nice leg kick from Cerrone. Cerrone is landing much more cleanly. Cerrone throws a good combination that finishes with a head kick. Cerrone looks fantastic through the first five minutes.
Cerrone takes Noons down, and nearly takes Noons' back. They separate. Cerrone continues to touch Noons up. Cerrone lands a knee and then the hands come.
Noons keeps touching the cut on his face. The blood may be leaking into the eye. Noons comes forward, but nothing lands. Noons lands two left hooks. Spinning back fist lands. Noons comes forward with a knee, but Cerrone times it perfectly and takes him down. Cerrone moves to half-guard. Cerrone doing good work from top position. He is staying active and making Noons work. Cerrone moves to side control before the round ends. Slow start to the third round.
Noons getting frustrated, and Cerrone takes him down. Nice elbows on the mat from Cerrone. Cerrone stays on top as Noons tries to get up. Noons is bloodied up.
More elbows from Cerrone. The Cowboy has made this a grimy affair on the mat. Cerrone gets in to half-guard. Cerrone moves to side control as he continues to control this fight. He will ride out the round in side control. Cerrone looked outstanding tonight. He was simply the better all-around fighter.
Noons had virtually nothing to offer Cerrone on this night. Pyle lands a knee to the body, and Story takes him down. Pyle active from his back. Pyle nearly sweeps Story, and narrowly misses locking in the armbar. Story is simply maintaining position right now. Pyle to his feet, and Story throws a quality combination as they break. Big left from Story. Story drops Pyle with a huge combination, but Pyle is intelligently defending himself so far.
Pyle survives. Story is still looking for power shots. Knee from Pyle stuns Story briefly. Story pushes Pyle against the fence.

While a lot of people will bemoan that decision, Pyle was the one attacking in a lot of the ground action. Judges took that in to consideration and awarded him a split decision win. A touch of the gloves and we are underway.
